Minimalism is more than just owning less. Minimalism is recognizing that less is more. If you identify which things are essential components of your life, you can easily remove the things that aren’t. Anything that neither serves a purpose nor makes you happy should be thrown out (or donated) or removed from your schedule. This will make your life much simpler and less overwhelming and stressful.
The nonessential things can be compared to clouds; get rid of them and you can see the sunshine.
“Minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things we most value and the removal of anything that distracts us from it.”
